Title: Game-Changer
Fandom: Gundam Iscariot (Original Gundam-Inspired 'Verse)
Pairing/Characters: Mick Hedone & Varuna Lucero
Rating: Not Rated
Content Notes: CNTW
Prompt: 2 & 3 - playing a board game
Mick frowned at the dice and then frowned at Varuna.
"If I hadn't seen you cut the tape, I'd swear you were cheating," he said, shaking his head.
"It does seem a little uneven, doesn't it?" Varuna asked as he looked over the game board and at the pile of resources he'd acquired versus Mick's scant collection. "But it had good reviews and the digital version seemed balanced."
Mick wasn't going to comment that with the digital version, he'd be sure Varuna was cheating.
NIN-ANA didn't have an official board game or puzzle club, but games and puzzles turned up regularly, available for all to borrow for social time or quiet time or both.
New games did get a test-run or two, to make sure they were actually playable and actually fun.
So far, Mick was undecided. He moved his marker, took a card, and read it twice before handing it to Varuna.
"If I was cheating, I'd have made sure I got that card," Varuna said after apparently also reading it twice. "I don't recall seeing that in the digital version."
Mick shrugged and took the card back when Varuna handed it to him. They were both quiet for a long moment.
"So I think I won?"
"Probably."
"Do you want to play again? Or something different?" Mick was good with whatever. It wasn't too late, he was caught up on everything, and nobody else had requested his company, so-
Varuna just smiled.
