Very, very nice, funny, well-written fic. Really. I like your Cid; he's strong, intelligent man (I like his little scheme, a lot), clever enough to outwit the Turk and confident enough to not care about petty things.

I don't know how to put it... but I've felt a little warmer and happier after reading that. : - ) It has the same easy-going aura like the kids adventure shows I watched in my childhood (I mean it as a compliment).
