Sallah awkwardly patted Marion's back, wondering why his wife — oh she was taking over managing the few invited guests. Well, he'd forgive her that.
"Think of it this way, my friend," he began, floundering for words to make this all better. "It is better than what could have happened, all things considered."
She paused in her tears, looking up at him in shock.
"We were not bombed, approached by a tank, nor did we have snake-laden machete wielding thugs appear?"
The laughter that erupted might've been a tinge hysterical, but at least it was a change from Marion's heartbroken tears.
