Title: A Hop to Kent
Fandoms: Psmith, Simon Feximal & Green Men (this drabble alludes to Sam's background in Casebooks as well as his current occupation in Spectred Isle).
Pairing/Characters: Mike Jackson & Sam Caldwell
Rating: T
Content Notes: The actual Swale is purportedly haunted by a former piano-playing landlady. And the friend Sam mentions is Dr. John Silence, who in addition to his guest appearances in Casebooks deals with some musicians in his home narrative.
Words: 100
Prompt: September Twelve - Mike & Sam - "wait, did you just make up this holiday?"
“…And the Sunday roast at the Swale Tavern was very good. We slept very well that night,” Mike said.
“I’m sure you did,” Sam murmured. “And then you came back here.”
“Yes,” Mike said.
“Bollocks,” Sam stated, looking directly at Mike. “Motoring holiday, my arse. I know the Swale. I helped one of Uncle Simon’s friends with rescuing some lodgers there from demonic duets. A quid says you didn’t get a wink of sleep.”
Mike flinched. Sam leaned back, his eyes kind in spite of his blunt language. “Now tell me what you and your Psmith were really up to.”
